Bare-Hustlers (BH) is a unique Blog which is complemented by BH Magazine and both are designed to speak about existing township and rural entrepreneurs and how they have survived and continue to endure adversities, prior and during the COVID 19 eras. The rural and township economic landscapes are by nature harsh, offers no support yet provides amazing and unique set of survival skills. The stories of these entrepreneurs provide a window of great opportunities to learn from and how WE can ALL learn creative techniques through challenging times.
This edition features, stories of Vusimuzi Ngwalazi and Nosipho Ndebele, founders of System32Digital – an IT and Graphic Design company based in Emdeni, Soweto in Gauteng; Phehello Tsotetsi, the CEO and co-founder of a Detergents Manufacturing Company a.k.a Batlokwa Detergents from Frankfort in the Free State; Emely Badenhorst, the co-founder of LEMF Farmers Enterprise from Carltonville in WestRand in Gauteng Province and Amanda Ntoyi, a gifted fashion designer from Worcester in the Western Cape. Theirs are narratives of hopeful people operating under “dire” economic conditions but armed with fierce determination to succeed and overcome odds with ease.
